Classic Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

For the Dough

  • ¼ cup warm milk

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 ½ tsp active dry yeast

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

For the Filling

  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 ½ tbsp ground cinnamon

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

1. Make the Dough
Combine warm milk and yeast in a bowl. Stir in sugar, butter, eggs, salt, and flour. Mix until a dough forms. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

2. Roll Out Dough
Roll out the dough to approx. a 16x12 inch rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly, then sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mixture. Roll tightly into a log and slice into 12 rolls. Place in a greased baking dish.

3. Let Rise Again
Cover rolls and let them rise for about 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

4. Bake
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
